So what's all this, then?

I've been making models from plastic kits for nearly fifty years. I run a successful local model club, I've served on the National Committee of the hobby's largest Society (IPMS), and I take my models for display at shows up and down the UK. But . . . . .

Just lately, I've been struck by an attack of modelling lethargy. Over the last twelve months, I've completed ony three models, instead of the twelve or so that I've averaged over the last few years. Why? I don't know, although I suspect that the 'idiot box' on which I'm typing - and you're reading - this is probably a significant factor.

So, I've decided to do something about it. Over the twelve months from this year's Scale ModelWorld show to next year's, I intend to complete twenty-five models. Further, I intend to document those builds here, in this 'blog.

And, just so as you know what I'm talking about, here's one of the three models I completed last year.

Biplanes do not normally figure highly in my fields of modelling interest, but I enjoyed this little beauty, and World War One aeroplanes may well be included in next year's programme.

Let the kitbashing commence!
