Long time no post!

It's been a long time since I posted, and much has happened. One of my oldest modelling friends died suddenly and unexpectedly. Mick had been seriously ill for a long time, but I don't think that any of us could believe that he wouldn't make it. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his illness, and the world is a sadder place for his leaving of it. You can read his obituary here : http://www.lincolnmodelclub.co.uk/Mick_obit.htm

Now, his widow has the thankless task of disposing of a lifetime's accumulation of model-making 'clutter', and we - his former fellow club members - are doing our best to assist. It's a melancholy pursuit, and I think that few of us have not considered our own 'collections' and, indeed, our own mortality.

On the modelling front, there is lamentably little to report. The Roden Camel is still unstarted, although the Spitfire PR Mk.XIII is finished. I'll try to remember to take some pictures and post them soon. The Roden Fokker D.VII illustrated earlier has been written off, following an uncommanded descent from the display shelf! The only other model completed recently was - of all things - a ship!

This is MTB 57, modelled using White Ensign's 1/350th scale kit, and using water modelling techniques kindly shared by an exhibitor at this year's Huddersfield show.
